Centrus Acquires Westerman Holdings to Secure Supply Chain
Centrus brings a critical centrifuge parts supplier in-house, expanding its manufacturing footprint and diversifying into non-nuclear markets.
Centrus Energy has completed the acquisition of Westerman Holdings, LLC, a move designed to vertically integrate a key supplier of centrifuge components directly into its operations, the company announced. By bringing Westerman's manufacturing capabilities in-house, Centrus gains what it describes as a best-in-class production operation with an established and expanding customer base. The acquisition is expected to reduce supply chain vulnerability for centrifuge production, which sits at the heart of Centrus' core enrichment business.
