Kraken Parent Payward Links With Singapore Gulf Bank for Round-the-Clock Settlement
Payward integrates SGB Net for instant institutional settlement in Asia and the Gulf, while Kraken Prime gains a new liquidity channel.
Payward, the parent company of cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, has formed a partnership with Singapore Gulf Bank to enable 24-hour, seven-day-a-week settlement for institutional digital asset clients across Asia and the Gulf region, the companies announced October 4, 2026.
The integration centers on SGB Net, Singapore Gulf Bank's real-time clearing network, which will allow Payward's institutional counterparties to settle transactions instantly regardless of the hour — a capability that traditional banking rails have long been unable to provide for cross-border digital asset flows.

As part of the arrangement, Singapore Gulf Bank will onboard Kraken Prime, Payward's institutional trading arm, as an additional source of digital asset liquidity. The move positions Kraken Prime as a deeper participant in the bank's liquidity ecosystem, potentially broadening access for the bank's own institutional client base in two of the fastest-growing digital asset markets globally.
The partnership reflects a wider industry push to eliminate settlement gaps that have historically forced institutional traders to absorb overnight and weekend counterparty risk. By anchoring settlement to a real-time clearing network rather than conventional correspondent banking schedules, both firms aim to reduce friction for large-volume participants operating across multiple time zones.
